Who I Am
Growing up, I loved sports. I played everything from baseball, hockey, basketball, football, soccer, and golf, with seasons often overlapping and my parents running me from practices and tournaments locally, regionally, and even nationally. I was fortunate to play collegiate baseball at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). I earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Management, was a four-year starter, All-American, and was elected into RPI’s Hall of Fame. I pursued my dream of playing professionally and even signed a contract with the Tampa Bay Rays. Though my playing career consisted of the minor and independent leagues, the one phrase that I kept hearing time and again was “it’s just business.” After my playing days, I went on to earn a master’s degree from Georgetown University in Sports Industry Management because I wanted to know more about the business of sports. My love for sports continues to this day. My experiences on and off the field, the analytical skills, and the business acumen I have developed over time drive me to be SportsMinded.
